Abound Solar was founded with the mission to power the world with low-cost solar energy. We take the commitment to environmental sustainability seriously with everything we do:
- Less raw material used during the manufacturing process
- Cadmium and tellurium are by-products of existing copper and zinc mining operations. Using these materials increases the overall sustainability turning wastes into useful raw materials.
- A layer of semiconductor just microns thick is sufficient to convert the sun’s energy into electricity, resulting in 98% less material used compared to crystalline silicon.
