Abound Solar Partners with Thesan to Reduce PV Installation Costs and Complexity in the Italian Market
Loveland, Colo. (April 28, 2011) - Abound Solar, Inc., a leading manufacturer of cadmium telluride thin-film photovoltaic solar modules, announced a partnership and distributorship with Thesan, a designer and manufacturer of solutions dedicated to the renewable and energy efficiency market sector Both companies will work together to provide functional and economic solutions based on Abound Solar’s next-generation thin-film modules and the innovative design of Thesan’s racking system “Around you” which associated with module reduces labor costs installation up to by 57 percent.
Abound Solar, based in Colorado, United States, recently closed a $400 million loan guarantee from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to fund the expansion of the company’s manufacturing capacity that will soon be the largest manufacturing facility in the United States. This ramp in capacity will help cater to the demand for its solar products in Italy, Germany, India and North America, and spur new growth in employment.
